WELCOME TO STARGATE SG8

SG8 was started in 2003 and has provided an entertaining environment for our simmers for the last five years. In the year 2008, due to technological issues as well as surplus in size, SG8 was split into three smaller sims: SG5, SG7, and of course, SG8. The three sims still carry loose ties with one another, and prospective members are encouraged to view through all three sims to see which one best suits their simming needs. Each have tried to distinguish themselves individually, while maintaining small parts of what made SG8 the great community that it was.

Here's a rough break down of the other two sims:

SG5: Strongly based in pseudo science (puzzles), with military action coming in second, and character emphasis third. Rating: G-PG13

SG7: Full of military action for the fast paced writer, with enough puzzles to keep you on your toes. Rating: G-PG13

Here at SG8, we pride ourselves with our character driven stories and story arcs, which are also heavily filled with puzzles and enough action to keep the masses happy. However, we are an adult rated site (NC18), and expect adult like discretion from our simmers. That being said, no one under 18 may view the material on this site due to mature content! If you are not 18, then you do not have permission to view this site.

But other than that, welcome to SG8.

The SG-8 team is currently lost and stranded, being left to wander the universe after a tragic escort mission. They travel from planet to planet, searching for a way to get home, with danger closely nipping at their heels.

Unfortunately, we have reached our maximum quota, and are not accepting submissions at this time.

SG-8 is apart of a group of games in the SLA. Check out the rest of the SLA Stargate Command games.

The forum for SG-5,7, and 8 can be found here: Mess Hall. All are encouraged to join up and is a place for the community aspect of SG-8 before the split.

Mission Hiatus?

Hey Gang,

I'll be out of town from tonight (weds) until Friday night, and then I work Saturday, and start school Monday.

So with all of this starting, and we've been slow as of late, I'm considering putting us on hiatus. Or a "post at your own discretion, until the mission is done" sort of deal. Or, the other option is for me to write one hell of a long mission post ending it all. lol Whichever one becomes more desperate.

Tell me what you guys think.

I've also been trying to figure out what to do next mission (if there will even be a next mission), and was wondering what ideas you guys have floating around. What kind of missions would you prefer or like to see? When I took over as CO, I said that everybody would get to plan a mission, and I'm holding true to that. So any suggestions or ideas are greatly appreciated. :)

See you when I "see" you,

Molly

So somehow I have hurt my hand to the point were bending it or flexing it hurts. I'm not quite sure how I've done it and I thought it might be a one day thing but nope still hurts 2 days later. Thinking now I've probably hurt the muscle somehow. Basically this leaves me with one hand to type with. So hopefully I will have my two posts up by this weekend but currently am typing them out at chicken pecking one handed slow pace. (This is also fun while typing at work)

Sorry about the delay guys.

Hey Gang,

I'm back from my R&R, but I have some news: yours truly is going back to school in two weeks. That's right, my nose is back to the grind stone. What that will leave me for posting, we'll see.

Hell, I was part of SG8 my whole other college career (granted, not leading it), so we'll play it by ear.
